@jDk, I listened to the tracks you mentioned. But naah, the bmp was too fast for me. Trance strays around 130bmp which is great.
@alamode, Really liked the "Departures" track! Cosmic Gate reminded me of their old track which I can't seem to get tired of:

I like trance but its not what it used to be anymore. Drum & Bass is not everyone's cup of tea, if you couldn't stomach these tracks, then you certainly won't be able to bear the "hardcore" tracks .

Trance has indeed evolved and not exactly what it used to sound like a decade ago. And I tried. Listened to this one too. I think they were all really good but you know just not something I'd see myself listening to while studying/working/driving etc. When I hear DnB, it reminds me of Need For Speed lol, no offense, I like the games btw.
Btw, maybe you have really good equipments otherwise for common headphones or speakers its impossible to notice any difference between FLAC and 192kbps MP3.

NFS had some great tunes. Especially the ones that had the best tracks were NFS3, 4 & Porsche Unleashed. Some truly innovative tracks were composed at that time. Those were the days. Not the usual crap we listen to these days. These days, I only listen to ambient or DnB. DnB while I'm working out or excercising, and ambient when I'm relaxing. Ambient is the perfect counterbalance to DnB. Maybe you should try it.
Try Solar Fields, he composed music for Mirror's Edge, if you played the game that is .
