Well so far, the DSL industry has improved a lot better while considering what it offered in the past, while PTCL becoming the first to slash down its DSL rates; leaving no room for other ISP's and making them to reduce their package tarrifs. The best thing what PTCL DSL did is made their downloading unlimited. Well done PTCL....I'm expecting a lot from PTCL and other ISP's but from the above letter; we still have a long way to go to boost our both technology and Internet sector.
Hoping for the best....

What you are asking from Pakistani ISPs is under control of PTCL. I am a Paknet user. Almost it is PTCL. I have package A, RS:15/hr. (Very high rate). I get speed 24 to 36 KBPS. Disconnected each 5 to 10 minutes. Now if I use any other ISP, I cannot use POP3 and SMTP to download my emails!! This service was available in 2004 but restricted in 2005. Moreover heir web mail is text base. We cannot see embadded pictures in the mail. We have to download and see them. Paknet is reducing facilities to their customers whereas all the world is giving unlimited facilities with very lower rates. What we can axpect from Pkistani ISPs. Sattellite internet is also beyond our reach. Just hoping to have som international ISP to help us in future.

I wish the ISP's would at least get the dailup part right for now... I'm sick and tiered of busy signals and frequent disconnects... recently tried cybernet, paknet and brain in (Lahore, Rahim yar khan, quetta) and local GEO and Buraak (Quetta) and always get disconnected at 9:30PM and busy singnals after that... stop ripping me off... I can't stay up till 1:00AM for your damn network to get free... if you know you are reaching capacity... do something about it... or stop selling your shit in the market.
